    The hospitality we received from Jean Luc on arrival and throughout our stay was amazing. Villa Caretta has gorgeous views facing south of the islands of Arkoudi and Meganisi which are the closest then Ithaka in the distance. The villa is very spacious and clean and the pool is also great. Can't say a bad word about our stay and will definitely visit again. Highly recommend the outdoor shower watching the sunrise in the morning. :)

    Our stay at the villa has been amazing! Lots of privacy, really quiet and peaceful area, the villa and pool were clean and the communication regarding our stay went really smooth. High on our list to stay in one of the villas again. Highly recommended!

    siamo stati a fine luglio in 2 famiglie , posto meraviglioso , casa spettacolare immersa nel verde e nella tranquillità ! Non abbiamo avuto nessun problema e la piscina al tramonto è fantastica , stessa cosa la cena in terrazza con il cielo stellato e la luna che riflette sul mare . Jean Luc e Giovanna ( proprietari ) persone fantastiche e sempre disponibili , che dire la vacanza giusta . massimo

    Villa Careta was fantastic, even better than in the photos., having really spectacular views. There was plenty of room for 6 of us, with the upstairs being unexpectedly spacious. The outdoor/ balcony shower was a special bonus, with amazing sea views ( and a few bugs too!) Everything was scrupulously clean and there were some thoughtful touches, such as water in the fridge and a fruit bowl on arrival and the provision of numerous “basics”. The pool was a good size and there were many different seating areas, allowing for privacy or a bit of shade if you wanted it. There was also a really good barbecue. Jean Luc was an excellent host, always helpful and quick to assist. Nothing was too much trouble and we could not have asked for more. The harbour at Sivota was lovely , with numerous friendly and very reasonably priced restaurants, bars and a few small supermarkets. It was a drive of about 1.5 kilometres from the villa, so very accessible. There were also some really nice small beaches about 15 minutes away which we drove to. A car is essential and given the fact that the road up to the property is ridiculously steep, a 4 wheel drive is advisable. We had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend it.

    Die Bilder übertreiben nicht, in Wirklichkeit ist es noch schöner! Das Haus: sehr liebevoll und gemütlich bis ins Detail eingerichtet und dekoriert. Voll ausgestattete Küche, selbst die "Software" ist vorhanden, zB. Essig, Öl, Gewürze, Tabs für die Spülmaschine u.v.m. Gute Betten. Picobello sauber. Die Außenanlage: wunderschön terrassiert angelegt, sehr große Terrasse, insgesamt 7 lauschige Sitz- und Liegeplätze einschließlich Hängematte. Schöne, alte Olivenbäume. Die absolute Krönung ist der Infinity Pool. Hier Schwimmen und aufs Meer schauen - Entspannung pur. Die Aussicht: nicht einfach nur 270° Blick aufs Meer, sondern auf viele, viele Inseln und Inselchen, immer wieder in anderem Licht. Der Vermieter: Jean Luc, sehr, sehr nett, trotzdem nicht aufdringlich. Ausführlichste Übergabe, Obstteller zur Begrüßung. Hat eine Landkarte mit Markierungen gemacht, wo man gut einkaufen und essengehen kann, Strände markiert, Aussichtspunkte etc... Kam immer mittwochs zur Poolreinigung (nach Voranmeldung), war immer per SMS erreichbar. Wifi: vorhanden, aber nicht sehr stabil, mit dem Handy als Hotspot hat s viel besser geklappt. Einziger negativer Aspekt: die Nachbarvilla ist nur wenige Meter entfernt, perfekter Sichtschutz, aber akustisch problematisch, wenn man laute Nachbarn hat, was bei uns gottseidank nur ganz am Schluss der Fall war. Ingesamt sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Werden nie mehr ein schöneres Haus finden.

    We love the villa, this is the second time we have vistited and will no doubt visit again as the views are stunning. BUT there was no wi-fi at all this year which is just not acceptable. The owners have changed providers since last year and seem reluctant to accept that it simply does not work now so we had to spend long periods of time in local cafes so the kids could access WiFi. If you are visiting you should take the advice of an earlier review and get a good 4G package before you travel.

    We stayed for 2.5 weeks from June 2018 and had a great time. The view is absolutely 7 star! The actual view is even better than on the pictures. You basically have a 120 degree view from 200 meter height with a radius of 30-50 km. Coordinates: (38.6144229,20.6806261). On a very clear day you can even see some of Zakynthos which is around 90 km away from the house). The owner of the house (Jean Luc) has done a great job to try to provide the comfort that you would expect for a house in this kind of price range. Also he was available at all times in case we needed something. It takes about 1 hour to get from the airport to the house. Syvota is a wonderful little harbour frequented ended by groups of sailing boats. Nice restaurants with very friendly staff and a very nice cafe at the very end of the harbor. Some things to be aware of: - the road up to the house is ok until you encounter a car that needs to go the opposite direction in which case it becomes unsafe - WiFi is poor; best to make sure you have a good 4G bundle and use 4G instead - Satellite TV signal is poor at times (not suitable to watch world cup) - In the evening there are quite some musquitos (but mosquito screens are provided for all doors and windows) - There is a house next door so you will have neighbours that obviously want to enjoy their stay as well - House is cleaned once a week (incl. fresh towels) Tips: - definitely bring binoculars; consider bringing a drone - we had our daughter following a one week windsurfing course in Vasiliki; she very much enjoyed that

    Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, Jean Luc war die ganze Woche immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Haus besticht durch seine liebevolle Einrichtung und durchdachte Ausstattung - aber vor allem durch die tolle Lage! Es gibt viele verschiedene unterschiedlich gestaltete Sitz- und Liegeecken, und alle mit einem wunderschönen Blick über Meer und Inseln. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

    Die Villa ist mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Bucht von Sivota und vorgelagerte Inseln gelegen. Silvie und Jean Luc empfingen uns herzlich und kümmerten sich auch unter der Woche um Pool und Haus, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Da wir beim Frühstück viele Wespen hatten, stellten sie beispielsweise eine Falle auf, die gut wirkte. Ein Jeep ist empfehlenswert um an die Strände z.B. Agiofili zu gelangen. In Sivota gibt es sehr günstige gute Fischlokale. Insgesamt ein Traumurlaub auf einer noch wenig touristisch überlaufenen Insel. Wir kommen wieder! Die Villas stehen zur Zeit übrigens zum Verkauf.

    Maison et accueil particulièrement soignés et agréables. La vue est réellement magnifique depuis la terrasse et la piscine, la maison bien qu'isolée n'est pas loin du port de pêche (quelques minutes de voiture) de Sivota, très agréable, avec supermarché et tavernes. La maison est très bien décorée, très bien équipée. L'accueil de Jean-Luc et Sylvie fut formidable. Plusieurs jolies petites plages sont à 10-15 min en voiture. Je recommande fortement cette maison pour ceux qui veulent visiter Leucade.

    we stayed a few nights with our grown up children in villa careta and had a great experience! the villa is very beautifully decorated, and there is a feeling that someone took care of every little detaile. it is equipt with every thing you might need in a vacation and gives a feeling of a home. the view from the villa is breathtaking and you can see it from nearly everywhere. the sweammingpool is lovely and has the best view. all the outside part is comforteble and beautiful- a hammok under an old olive tree, large table for breakfasts overlooking the view and sunbads of all sorts.Sylvia and Jan Luc were very welcoming and helpfull. the villa is situated high on the hill and surounded by beautiful nature. we took long walkes and enjoyed the peacefull evironment. the only problem was that our stey was too short...

    Wir haben Anfang September 2014 zwei Wochen Ferien in der Villa Careta gemacht und waren begeistert. Wir wurden von Jean Luc und Sylvie sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Villa ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist alles da, was man im Urlaub braucht. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf das Meer und die Nachbarinseln ist atemberaubend schön. Hängematte und Bank unter den uralten Olivenbäumen laden zum "Seele-baumeln-lassen" ein. Villa Careta ist ein ruhiger, wunderbarer Ort, der zum Wiederkommen einlädt.
