Homer says in the Odysseus epic tale, that Ulysses rested in Sivota before going back to his kingdom in Ithaca after his long journey. Local legend? Actually it is really difficult to not succumb to the charm of this quiet port. The hospitality of the Greek people and the delight of their food, turn this place into a true paradise.

The villa Koumaria is only few minutes from the port, through a small road into the hill. Surrounded by olive trees, overlooking the sea and the mythical island of Ithaca, the villa offers amazing view. The villa is built in an ideal location on the island. You can find peace and quiet, or places near by to do sports (sailing, windsurfing, quad, VTT) and have fun partying. Ideal for teenagers too, who can feel independent and safe at all times.

The villa can accommodate 9 people, family or friends, who wish to holiday in a unique setting, and a luxurious and contemporary home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and cleaning services (twice a week).

OUTSIDE

A large terrace surrounded by flowers and white stone, a 6x4m infinity pool, an outside shower and a great barbecue area close to a wide wooden dinning table in the shadow of the pergola. An olive tree provides shade to a more secluded siting area for those who want more privacy. This place is also ideal to enjoy your evening aperitif.

GROUND FLOOR (terrace level)

The house is designed to offer an open sensation: through the large windows, your sight is shared between the sea and the beautiful garden. Villa Koumaria is fully equipped (TV, satellite, DVD player, WiFi Internet connection), and offers an open layout kitchen also fully equipped, with a bar and stools.

Two rooms with a bed of 180 x 200, each with its own toilet, one with a bathtub, the other with a shower. There is an additional WC near the kitchen.

FIRST FLOOR

Large open room with 3 beds 90 x 200. Ideal for children.

FLOOR -1

(the house is built on a hillside and has 3 levels with 2 accessible through the garden.)

A large room with 2 beds 90 x 200, which becomes a bed 180 x 200 for a couple. Large shower and WC. This room is perfect for couples or for teenagers. Room accessible also from the garden.

Laundry with washing machine and ironing board.

OUTSIDE GARDEN

A small siting area like a shelter near the house allows to isolate themselves from the noise of the pool and the terrace. Surrounded by flowers of bougainvillea, lavender, laurel and roses, this space is a true green tranquillity for those who want to nap.

ACCESS

The villa Koumaria is 2.5 km from the port of Sivota, its taverns and shops. 4 minutes by car, 15 minutes on foot.
Kindly note that the last kilometers to get to the villa are unpaved.

Kindly be advised that the owner of the villa has done all necessary proactive disinfestation, always in line to the environmental laws for the protection of the natural life. However the property is located within the beautiful natural surroundings and contact with insects or small animals (eg stray cats, mice, reptiles, flies, mosquitos, ants etc) cannot always be prevented.

The view of the dreamy Ionian is world class. Villa is well appointed, especially the kitchen. Excellent support from the villa team to make our stay perfect. Rent a car to get down to Sivota and beyond. We will be back!

We had a lovely stay at Villa Koumaria. The house had amazing views of the sea, and the landscaping is stunning. We found ourselves surrounded by butterflies, thanks to all of the gorgeous planting. Both indoor and outdoor areas are beautifully appointed, and we could barely peel ourselves away from the pool. The area is amazingly quiet, and the house feels wonderfully private – we slept so well! All communication was super with the Villas Thalassa team, who helped us organise a car hire and grocery order. When we asked for a couple of extra towels, it was easily and quickly arranged. We couldn't have asked for an easier or more restful retreat.

We just spent a week at the villa with our children and 3 small grandsons and had an amazing time. The villa is very well equipped and in excellent condition - but the views and the pool are the highlight - the pool a perfect temperature and with views across the sea to Cephalonia and Ithaca. Sivota harbour is handily situated about a 10min drive away, handy for top up shopping and for enjoying the restaurants and bars along the pretty harbourside.

Nice clean Villa in Sivota - The Valley of Philippe :-) Large swimming pool/terras. Beautiful view !!! Even inside the Villa !!! Large interieur with all the comfort/tools you need for a long .. long visit at Lefkada. Stayed at Lefkada for many times already, this Villa Koumaria gets an A+ from us. A beautiful modern villa on the hill with a stunning view across to the islands. Light and airy inside, the villa is well laid out with very comfortable beds. The infinity pool is a great size, big enough for lengths.

Die Villa ist etwas ausserhalb von Sivota gelegen und somit sehr ruhig mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Die Anlage ist am Hang gelegen und von anderen Villen nicht einsehbar. Es gibt 2 absolut gleichwertige Doppelzimmer und eine Einliegerwohnung im unteren Bereich sowie 3 Einzelbetten im Dachgeschoss. Es ist alles sehr sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Man ist jedoch auf ein Fahrzeug angewiesen und der Schotterweg macht die Sache auch nicht besser. Der Vorteil davon ist jedoch wenig Verkehr und die Fahrzeuge fahren sehr langsam an die Villen heran. Besonders hat uns der Kontakt mit Mema gefallen, die uns super freundlich empfangen und betreut hat.

We had a lovely stay at villa koumaria last week and we stayed for 9 days which was perfect. Mema was really helpful and easily contactable. The views were absolutely amazing, the kids loved the pool and it was very well equipped. The beaches are fabulous. Amoussa beach was the best one we found, get there by 10.20 to get a sunbed. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone.

Super vacances en famille pour notre deuxieme sejour à la villa koumaria. Nous sommes toujours aussi admiratifs devant la beauté des paysages parfaitement mis en valeur par la piscine à debordement et les jardins en terrasses. We have just returned from a week at Villa Koumaria. The villa is very comfy with the main living space and bedrooms (the two doubles, both ensuite) on one level with doors from each room opening onto a wide terrace that connects the spaces with the pool. One of the outstanding features are the views and there's no escaping them with large windows, and mirrors are positioned so even facing the opposite direction you're not missing out! The villa is very private but others homes are being developed close by. We spent hours relaxing inside and out. We particularly loved the planting around the house and pool: full of colourful and deliciously scented flowers. A cool, calm, perfect place to relax. Thanks to Anna and Tasos and the wider Villas Thalassa team for your great customer service.

We are a Austrian Family of 7 who stayed in the villa in sept 2016. The villa was absolutely perfect, and had everything we needed. It was very clean and spacious, with an amazing view over the sea. The well equiped kitchen was fabulous. Every doors and windows had mosquito nets . The swimming pool was also nice. Now we are back in our mountain and we miss Lefkada already..! We would love to come back some day...

My husband and I had a wonderful and very peaceful stay at the Villa Koumaria and the absolutely stunning surrounding! The villa is beautifully and stylish furnished - you see and feel the good taste of the owner. the terrace and pool area is big but cosy and the pool itself is spacious and inviting. The maintenance is just perfect and never disturbing the privacy one wishes to have. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Villa Koumaria!!!

We had a wonderful time in Villa Koumaria last fall. The view is amazing and the house is cosy and spacious. We also enjoyed the big terrace and the pool. This place is so quiet and peaceful to relax and have a great time with friends or family. We will come back ! :)
